Finally some happy news

The Avro Lancaster! One of my favorite bombers :D Churchill thought he could win the war with his Lancasters, but almost all of them were shot down... And the German cities highly suffered the damage these machines brought to them!

It's another plane I've been working on silently :P
As you can see, I am 'kind-of' back to modeling a bit. But I do need to make/find some good textures... This is only the basic model!

Because Chong was very exited of this plane, I wanted to upload a picture and show the heavy bomber to everyone :)

Here's the picture:
Maybe I'll add more pictures later this week! Just ask for them :)

Dedicated to Thijs

This is not a very happy message, but according to me it has to be written.

About half an hour ago, a very good friend of mine passed away.
His name was, as the title says, Thijs. He was only 15 years old. He had a lot of hobbies, like playing basketball and electronics. He also was a funny person, he always had a lot of jokes with which he made you laugh. I am really going to miss him, real hard...
So I would like to say the following to him: I hope you are fine up there, and that you can see that I am going to miss you. Now rest in peace, we will meet again!

And I hope all people reading this understand that the following week(s) no more mods will be created... I will be online, but will not work on my mods.

Only the U-2 mod will get a new skin, with a dedication to Thijs. I chose the U-2 because it's able to fly high in the sky (70,000 ft), so he will be able to see it.

Greetings,
Marijn van der Leer, Holland.

A Bit Too Late...

A little too late, but as promised, here it is. It's the Junkers JU-87 'Stuka' or Sturzkampfflugzeug, in German. It means 'divebomber'. With it's slow speed it was an easy target to most allied fighter planes, but the Stuka was a devastating bomber. It also had a psygologic siren effect, allied soldiers said it was the most terrifying sound during WWII.
I made a Stuka model, here are some preview pictures:

Rear view

Keep in mind, this is only a preview. I still have to do a lot of modeling on this plane: make everything spin and move properly, finish some texture details and so on. So enjoy this preview, I now have to focus myself on the texture problem with TXD Workshop (Version 4.8), it sais 'TXD Corrupt'...

Junkers JU-52 Preview

Especially for SkylineGTRFreak! But of course everyone may enjoy this preview :D
Well, it's just a preview, I will need to improve this model, bet hey, I've put a lot of work in this plane :)
Here are my preview pictures:

I myself think it's looking pretty good now, but I will improve it :)
All parts should be working, only one prop stays still... But, maybe SkylineGTRFreak's future four-propellor script can fix this :D
PS: Tomorrow I will upload some pictures of the JU-87 'Stuka'. A medium bomber used in WWII, by the German Air Force (Or 'Luftwaffe', auf Deutsch :P)

BF-109 Bèta Download

I think the title sais enough!
Here's a Bèta version of my BF-109, more info is in the readme!
Due to the stupid servers of GTAGarage, I had to upload it on MediaFire.

Secret Plane

Hell yeah, a secret plane! I will not reveal it's name, you may guess what plane this is!
Here's a hint to make it a little easier: It's Nazi (German), it's a protoype plane (only 37 produced) and was never active in the Wehrmacht.
Good luck on guessing!

Here's a picture to make it a little easier :)
Guess!
If you know what plane this is, please do not write down the awnser in the chatbox, but write it down on this blogpost's page.
Thanks in advance :)

BF-109 Update

I have updated the BF-109 a bit, now with complete textures and a whole new machine-gun position. The machine-gun is located at the front, near the cockpit, where it was located on the real BF-109. I want to make it as close to real as possible =)

As I already said, I changed the machine-gun position. Here's a picture to show you where it is positioned. It's not very clear, due to the textures. I am sorry for that...

After I finished the 'WIP-mods'...

Well, I've got plenty of work for now!
The voting for the B-29 SuperFortress has been closed, the Nevada won. I will now complete my work and upload it. But after this, still two other big projects remain; The Grumman WWII Planes and The Messerschmitt WWII Planes.
About the Grummans:
I've got an almost fully completed Grumman G-21A Goose, it has a few bugs left now. I also almost fully completed the F4F. The F4F will replace the Stuntplane and/or the Cropduster. You might be asking me: Why not the Rustler? Well, that's because I cant fix the landing gear problem... I am sorry =(
About the Messerschmitts:
I've been working a little on the BF-109, and I have now completed all textures on this one. I'll make this plane replace the Rustler, since they have pretty much in common. Also, I have put the machine-gun at the front of the plane, near the cockpit. This was where the guns were on the real BF-109, wich made it a very deadly plane =D
I have not been working on the rest of the planes, but I'll be working on them soon =)

I also made a list of possible future projects, for after I finished all remaining WWII mods:
Here are the possible projects:
Collections:
- The Mitsubishi WWII Planes (Japanese planes, like the A6M 'Zero').
- The Junkers WWII Planes (Nazi planes, like the JU-87 'Stuka').
Single aircrafts:
- The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress. This was a US Heavy Bomber during WWII.
- The Boeing B-24 Liberator. Also a US Bomber during WWII.
- The Boeing B-52 StratoFortress. This was a US Heavy Bomber, used in the Vietnam War.
- The Avro Lancaster. An RAF Heavy Bomber used in WWII.
- The Halifax. An RAF Heavy Bomber used in WWII.

Maybe I'll set up a vote, so you can vote what you would like to see first =)

B-29 SuperFortress

This is the biggest project I've been working working on so far. And in my opinion, it's looking pretty good so far. I'll show you some more pictures of it here.

Here are the pictures:

Well, she's a real beauty :D

There were some questions about why the B-29 SuperFortress did not fit on the Nevada. I have a picture for you to show you why it does not fit. Here it is:

This is why... Yeah, the size...

The Lockheed U-2 Dragon Lady

This is another plane I've been working on quietly, nobody knew about this plane. And she's a real Lady! The basic model for it has now been finished, I only need to create some textures, add movable parts and make it shamal-compatible.
A little history about this plane:
The U-2 was an American plane, designed in the late '60's. One of these planes was shot down above Russia, and a huge scandal followed; The Americans had spied Russia!
Maybe you are now thinking: Where do I know this plane from? Well, probably from Call of Duty: Black Ops. It's the 3 killstreak reward, the 'Spy Plane'.

Here are a few pictures of my Dragon Lady:

The Grumman F4F Wildcat

As you could have possibly seen on the Grumman WWII Planes mod page, I completed my model for the F4F Wildcat. Thanks to Pawelo for his research to give me the ultimate textures. They are the textures that are on the plane and that will remain on it :) The plane does even have an interior! The first plane I will complete with an interior, by the way xD

Here's a picture of the F4F Wildcat:
Well, that's looking good, isn't it?

The WWII projects

I do really love WWII planes, they are fascinating!
So, here are the WWII Plane projects I started:

1. The Grumman WWII Planes.
This features four planes so far, the F4F Wildcat, the F6F Hellcat, the F7F Tigercat (a very unknown plane to most people) and the G-21A Goose.

2. The Messerschmitt WWII Planes.
This features three planes for now, I am planning to make more after I finished the Grummans.
The planes that are on the list right now are the BF-109, BF-110 and the ME-262.

3. And of course, the huge B-29 SuperFortress!
This is the largest plane I have been working on so far. I downloaded a model from SketchUp first, but it seemed not to fit. So I decided to use the usable parts (tail and engines) and designed most of it myself. I also added a chrome layer, which looks awesome :D

This is the official first post on this site, and I'll post a new one everytime I made progress from now on. Check out this blog often, there will be more screenshots of progress here than on GTAGarage. I also hope to get some more features to this blog, like a gadget where you can post a small mail on this blog :)
